Until now Telestat Call Logging software when working with an Asterisk has always read the master.csv file (which it still can do) but setting up an Asterisk to produce the master.csv file in the correct format then installing samba etc to gain access to the file share was always a bit fiddly, and of course if it was a hosted system or in a different location sometimes file level connectivity was impossible or impractical.
So we can now connect to the Asterisk via TCP which can easily be set to output CDR info with the minimum of configuration changes.
At the time of writing; three of our customers have hosted Asterisk systems and use Telestat to connect to them even though they are hosted in an external Data Centre.
